As today's elderly population continues to live longer, the demand for non-medical assistance is rapidly expanding and growing. Previously, when seniors required assistance with their ADLs, either as result of a condition, such as a stroke, hip replacement, or onset of dementia, the options available were few. They were faced with decisions such as selling their home and moving to a costly long-term facility, or they could move in with their children. But neither solution was ideal.
